User Acceptance Testing Support

Sopra Group was approached to provide specialist End-User Business Test Management expertise to drive a global re-development program across a range of business functions and technologies within this organisation.  A team of Sopra Group Test Managers, with specific domain expertise in investments, rapidly assumed full responsibility for management of User Acceptance Testing.

This included the allocation of business users to a range of projects, covering 37 different functional areas.  Within three months, the client's perception of third party involvement at the 'business end' of such projects moved from one of initial reservation to full support at director level.

Tools Automation Strategy And Execution

Sopra Group worked closely with the client over an 18-month period to improve the quality and coverage of automated test tool usage.  The client had been unsuccessful in earlier attempts to utilise test automation tools.  Sopra Group's testing tools experts introduced new processes to ensure better targeting of tools automation.  The first major programme delivered:

  • Increased quality
  • More efficient test processes
  • Improved test coverage
  • Reduced test cycle times
  • Greatly improved re-usability of test scripts / regression packs

Working in partnership with the client, Sopra Group has provided advice and delivery capability to promulgate this successful approach and optimise the use of test tools (WinRunner and TestDirector) throughout the organisation.  This has delivered significant benefits, both in terms of cost savings and increased quality.
