Developing And Implementing A Testing Strategy

An International Energy Provider, who supplies electricity and gas to over 6 million customers throughout the UK and Western United States, was looking to improve the quality of its internal IT service delivery and reduce re-work costs for new systems.

To best utilise their internal resources the company wanted to partner with specialist external suppliers, who could complement their own teams and transfer key skills to staff.  Sopra Group was chosen as the Energy Provider's testing partner, due to the extensive range of testing services we offer, and our experience within the utilities marketplace.

Our experts designed, and are continuing to deliver, an enduring testing solution for the Energy Company's UK division.  Centralising the test function across multiple sites for the organisation's 3 UK businesses was a key factor in this process.  Other elements of the project included:

• Auditing the existing test processes across the UK Divisions
• Developing a strategy proposal to move them to the next stage
• Assess cost of transition and the provision for ongoing services.
