Sopra Group has once again been chosen to speak at the annual EuroSTAR conference which will be held in Copenhagen from 29th November – 2nd December 2010. EuroSTAR is the premier event for the European software testing community, and every year a wide range of industry experts apply to present on the latest developments in software testing. Competition was particularly stiff this year for speaking slots as a record-breaking 433 applications were submitted to present!
For EuroSTAR veteran Graham Freeburn, one of Sopra Group's Principal Consultants, this will be his 11th time presenting at the event. This year one of the new features of the conference are two 'Power Hour' Sessions at the end of the conference which will focus on making sure people get the value from attending. Graham will lead one of these sessions entitled 'Making it Happen – Getting Real Value from EuroSTAR'. He will work with everyone who attends to help them take the best of the lessons learnt from the conference, prioritise them, and plan how to put them into practice in their personal / organisational context.
Jackie McDougall, a Sopra Group Test Consultant, will present a case-study mini-track on the topic of Data Warehouse Testing. This will be Jackie's first time presenting at EuroSTAR, and she hopes to attract a like minded audience interested in how to get started in this type of project, with some hints and tips on the techniques that can be used and the pitfalls to avoid.
EuroSTAR has been running since 1993 and is widely recognised as the most successful European software testing conference, as well as a key training and education event. Last year's conference, held in Stockholm, was one of the largest gatherings to date of European testing professionals, with over 700 attendees. It is anticipated that delegate numbers this year will increase again.
The 2010 programme was officially announced via a live webinar on Wednesday 12th May 2010.
