Airbus, one of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, has awarded a 3-year contract to Sopra Group. At the end of 2001, Sopra Group was entrusted with the development of the electric flight control secondary computer for the A380.  Since that time, the Avionics and Simulation Products Department has extended the scope of activity and the level of responsibility of Sopra Group's onboard IT experts.

Sopra Group, has recently appointed Tom McCann as its new Head of Business in Northern Ireland (NI).  Tom joins the company as Head of Northern Ireland from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led their IT Risk Consulting division in Sydney, Australia.

Sopra Group developed the recently launched Scottish National Rural Network Website, and is also providing hosting and support for the application.  In addition, Sopra Group will act as the prime contractor for the moderation of the content in partnership with the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).

The Atos Origin Alliance, is a unique partnership between Atos Origin, IBM and Sopra Group to provide NHSScotland with the strongest team possible to support the Scottish Health Service of the future.  A £300 million contract was awarded to the Atos Origin Alliance in November 2006 to provide NHSScotland with end-to-end delivery of principal IT services for the next 11 years.

The AOA designed, built and is operating the electronic Acute Medication Service; it is the first nationally live system in the UK, and one of only a handful in the world, to provide an end-to-end solution that supports the Electronic Transmission of Prescriptions (ETP).

Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI) has awarded Sopra Group a £700,000 multi-year contract to include the supply, configuration and deployment of a new Offers and Claims Management System that will help modernise Invest NI's grant management process.
