Renfrewshire Council's IT Partner For Transforming Renfrewshire Programme
Sopra Group and Renfrewshire Council partner for a major initiative to deliver innovative, better and more efficient customer services through the effective use of IT.
Sopra Group, the European IT Services Organisation, today announced that after a competitive tender process Renfrewshire Council has appointed it to be their IT Technical Partner for the Transforming Renfrewshire Programme. The major change programme is designed to help Renfrewshire Council deliver modern, personalised value for money customer services to its citizens. At the same time the Transforming Renfrewshire programme aims ultimately to deliver savings of £10m per annum through the more efficient delivery of services.
As their IT Technical Partner Sopra Group will be working with Renfrewshire Council to deliver this leading edge programme to tight timescales by providing specialist knowledge and innovation to deliver business benefit through the enhancement and integration of the Council's web and back-office systems to improve the accessibility, efficiency and effectiveness of IT processes and systems.
To achieve the maximum benefits of online self service Sopra Group will also be providing specialist knowledge to assist Renfrewshire Council to utilise the Citizen Account. That will provide citizens with a single personal account to enable online authenticated access to services across the Council.

Sopra Group has been appointed initially for 2 years with a further 1 year optional extension within the terms of the contract.
